NYC caterer sexually assaulted married man on flight to Hawaii: cops

A Queens caterer pinned a married man to his seat and sexually assaulted him on a Hawaiian Airlines flight from New York City to Honolulu, authorities said.

Juan Carlos Rios Gaviria was arrested in Brooklyn Tuesday after he allegedly repeatedly groped the man, identified in court papers only as S.D., on the July 25 flight.

Gaviria, 52, was seated next to the alleged victim, and engaged him in small talk before shifting the conversation to the penis sizes of men in different countries, prosecutors said.

He then began groping the passenger before takeoff, and then again after the plane took off, according to charging documents.

Gaviria also grabbed the man’s hands and tried to pull them into his own lap, despite S.D. repeatedly telling him that he was “not interested” and “not into this” and that he had a wife and kids, according to the FBI.

At one point in the flight, Gaviria used the bathroom and when he returned, he pressed his shoulder into the man and aggressively grabbed his genitals.

The alleged victim used the inflight touch screen to get the attention of a stewardess.

“The flight attendant stated it looked as though S.D. was trying to control his anger” and told the stewardess he needed to be moved away from his “inappropriate” neighbor, investigators said in court documents.

Gaviria tried to explain it away by claiming that it was a “small seat” and he was “too big.”

The stewardess moved S.D., who was “on the brink of tears,” according to the charging document, and when she returned to Gavaria, he pretended not to know English.

An arrest warrant was issued for Gaviria on Aug. 4 and he turned himself in at the FBI building in Brooklyn on Tuesday.
