When did Snyder send Star Wars to hell?

Last week Snyder and the producers Deborah Snyder and Eric Newman spoke to a group of journalists about the making of the film, and Newman recalls how he was happy to get the Lucasfilm franchise to hell (via SlashFilm):

I remember (Zack) calling me at some point, and this was about 15 years ago, and he said, ‘I’m thinking about doing The Seven Jedi, in the Star Wars universe.’ And I was like, ‘Oh, that’s a great idea.’ (…) Then, a few years later, he calls me and says: ‘You know, I think it could be a TV series.’ I said, ‘Yeah, let’s do this! Damn Star Wars! Let’s do this like a TV show.’

As we all know, the project did not evolve into a series, but two movies that will arrive on Netflix in December of this year and in April 2024. Newman went on to explain that, in addition to the original idea for Star Wars, the inspiration came from heavy metal (1981):
